The position of Procurement Specialist will assist in the development and contract management of the Association's Preferred Supplier Program and support the delivery of Tender and Contract Management Services which provide key service requirements for our Local Government members harnessing the collective purchasing power of the sector.

To succeed in this role, you will be a self-starter with excellent communication and presentation skills, sound negotiation skills and the capacity to show initiative. You will have strong customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain effective client and supplier relationships as well as contribute to a specialised team of procurement professionals operating within a category portfolio management environment.

Sound problem solving, research, analytical and conceptual skills are fundamental requirements of the role.
